Homo Navis: Echoes of the Sapiens — book cover

Homo sapiens (Latin: 'wise man'). Homo Navis is a coined term, roughly 'ship human' — human on voyage.

Homo Navis

Echoes of the Sapiens

In the early 22nd century, humanity launched ten interstellar vessels toward distant Earth-like worlds.

Without hibernation technology, the journey would span thousands of years — generations would be born, live, and die aboard the ships. To ensure survival, social structures were redesigned around extreme rationality. This story follows one such ship, and one woman, during moments when life, memory, and survival collide.

This is not just a tale of good versus evil, humanity versus algorithm. At its core, it explores the quiet tensions that arise when survival demands reason, and reason begins to reshape what it means to be human.

To keep the fire burning, do we preserve the kindling, or the flame itself?
